James C. Tapp

Prior to KT Capital Partners, Mr. Tapp co-founded Summit Equity Partners, an Atlanta based private equity fund. Mr. Tapp previously spent 12 years as Managing Partner of Summit Acquisitions Group, LLC (SG), a mergers and acquisition company, which he founded in 1994. During his 12 years as Managing Partner of SG, Mr. Tapp completed over 120 mergers and acquisitions transactions.

Prior to Mr. Tapp's tenure with SG, he spent 7 years with Mobil Oil Corporation. At Mobil, Mr. Tapp held several senior sales and engineering management positions.

Mr. Tapp began his career as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army. During his tenure with the U.S. Army, Mr. Tapp held several positions including command of a combat mechanized infantry company.

Mr. Tapp holds a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from West Point and an MBA.

Mr. Tapp is the Chairman of the Board of Tech Rentals, LLC and is a director of Smith & Reichel, LLC, The Bankers Exchange, LLC and Conart Precast, LLC.
